Charles Brown, Executive Vice President, WaveRider Communications
Charles Brown joined WaveRider Communications Inc. in February of 1998 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in March 2005.
Charles brings to this position more than 20 years experience in the telecommunications and cable industries. Prior to joining WaveRider, Mr. Brown was the Chief Information Officer of Clearnet Communications, a wireless communications service provider, where he was responsible for all aspects of the company's information systems. Prior to joining Clearnet, Mr. Brown held a variety of executive level marketing, sales and business development positions with Trillium Communications, BCE Mobile and Bell Mobility.
Charles obtained a BA from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
Mark Evans, Senior Technology Reporter, National Post
Mark Evans is a senior technology reporter with the National Post, covering the Internet, telecom and venture capital sectors. Before joining the Post in 2001, he co-founded Blanketware Corp., which develops natural language navigation software for corporate portals. Ben Guderian, Director of Market Strategy, SpectraLink
Ben Guderian is responsible for marketing and product management for SpectraLink's market-leading workplace wireless telephone solutions. He has been instrumental in developing vertical markets and driving product development to meet the voice communication requirements of mobile workers. He is currently directing the marketing efforts to establish partnerships for SpectraLink's voice-over-wireless LAN technology and to bring products into international markets. Mr. Guderian's experience includes over 17 years in telecommunications and networking. Prior to joining SpectraLink in 1992, he held engineering and marketing positions with several telecommunication and data communication equipment manufacturers.
Ari Rabban, VP, Corporate Development & Marketing, VocalTec Communications
Ari Rabban oversees strategic planning, market analysis, and business development for VocalTec. Previously Mr. Rabban served as president of Surf&Call Solutions, a voice-enhanced e-commerce solutions startup group within the company. He joined Vocaltec from Lucent Technologies where he served as manager of strategic planning and business development at the Communication Software Business Unit in Holmdel, New Jersey. Frequently cited as an industry expert, Mr. Rabban has been quoted in trade publications Telephony, Internet Telephony, and New Telephony. A member of the Advisory Board for the Association of Interactive Marketing (AIM), as well as a member of the Israel Bar, Mr. Rabban worked as a practicing attorney at law offices in Tel Aviv, concentrating on securities regulations, and mergers and acquisitions, prior to his work at Lucent.
