John Lazar, CEO, MetaSwitch
As CEO, John Lazar is responsible for the strategy and management of the MetaSwitch organization, and sits on the Board of parent Data Connection (DCL). Since joining the company in 1987, John has combined vision and pragmatism to drive several of the company’s technologies, including audio/video collaboration and converged networking, from early innovations to commercial success.
This vision was instrumental in driving Data Connection’s focus on next generation networks and the establishment in the late-1990s of MetaSwitch, which he has steered to a leadership position in North America.
John holds an MSc and a D.Phil from the University of Oxford (UK). His interests include tennis, soccer, music, art - and spending time with his family.
