Technology Assessment
Ed Guy is a seasoned Computer Systems Architect & Systems Engineer with broad experience in network-based, large-scale & highly available data and VoIP systems. He possesses an established track record in determining customer business and technology needs, translating these needs into business models and software specifications, and prototyping and participating in the full deployment lifecycle. Guy can direct and contribute to the analysis, definition, design, implementation and integration in quality-managed (CMM/ISO) and iterative development environments, as well as provide an objective review of current projects.
As CTO of pulver.com, Guy was instrumental in evolving the Free World Dialup into a system capable of supporting over 150,000 subscribers and designing and deploying a VoIP system for a major, well established, telephony carrier.

Guy’s technical interests and background include operating systems, networking, Internet protocols, wireless, real-time Internet communication, middleware and TCP/IP programming, automation and distributed computing.
Guy frequently lectures at industry forums and at the university level. During his career, he has worked as an internal consultant, Systems Engineer and Architect at General Electric and Digital Equipment. Guy holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and also attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute at the graduate level. His doctoral research was in Circuit Simulation using a Distributed Computer.
