John Nye, Managing Director , Conferencing Solutions, Ubiquity

John Nye is the Managing Director, Conferencing Solutions at Ubiquity. He is a senior executive with 20 years of Telecom/Communications software and systems experience. John has held a variety of senior sales and general management roles for number is industry leaders including: Cable & Wireless, Lotus/IBM, and Polycom. His entrepreurial experience includes a CEO assignment for an early stage network management company, Oracom, as well as the executive officer role of President and General Manager of MultiLink following the company’s acquisition by PictureTel. In his role at Ubiquity, Nye has played a sales and business development leadership role in the company’s entry into the rich media collaboration by providing consistent thought leadership, customer focus and credibility with key analysts and industry executives. He is also spearheading the company’s strategy for new market entry and channel development for the enterprise market. John holds a BS from Boston University


Doug Tucker, CTO Americas, Ubiquity

Doug Tuck is the CTO Americas of Ubiquity. He joined Ubiquity in May of 2004 and has more than 20 years experience in research and development of leading edge communications hardware and software technologies. In the early 90’s, he designed and developed one of the first IP telephony products to distribute audio and video communications over TCP/IP networks. He was an early contributor to the H.323 ITU specification, providing the basis for the first ITU H.323 draft. During his engineering career, Doug has held the position of VP Engineering, CTO, and Chief Scientist, working in both visionary architecture roles and core product development. He has successfully managed product developments in telecommunications, conferencing, router, and switching companies. Doug held these positions in a number of companies including MCK Communications, Videoserver, ClearOne, PictureTel, and Codex Corporation/Motorola. He has also served as a consultant specializing in VOIP product definition, architecture and development for companies such as Siemens, Microsoft, Intel, and Spectel/Multilink. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering degree from Fairfield University and is literate in a multiplicity of programming languages, development environments and communications protocols and enjoys participating in the standards process.
