Workshop A3: IMS – Impact and Opportunities for CSPs
Thursday, September 14, 2006, 10:15am - 11:15am
The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) provides a single enhanced services architecture for delivering any service, using any media, to reach any customer, regardless of how they connect to the network. IMS will allow CSPs to reach beyond their traditional wireline markets into cable and mobile opportunities with new services using the same IP service delivery infrastructure. At the same time, IMS can provide the tools for new entrants to offer collaboration services that can compete head-on with traditional CSP offerings. During this session, the audience will hear from vendors and service providers working with IMS, and learn about the impact and opportunities of deploying IMS for conferencing and collaboration services.
