Jay was previously co-founder of Pingtel, the first commercial product vendor to support the SIP protocol in 1997. Richard Brennan has over 30 years of telecommunications industry experience, and has spent the last decade promoting interoperability and global VoIP standards. Mr. Brennan is actively involved in international standards organizations, including ETSI, where he is Vice Chair of TISPAN, the group responsible for convergence towards NGNs. Rebecca Copeland, IMS Intelligence Product Manager, Marconi
Rebecca was born in Israel and settled in the UK since 1973. She holds two degrees, in Architecture as well as in Law, but spent most of her working life in the computing and Telecom industries. She has been involved in developing applications, first for IT manufacturers (Honeywell and DEC), then her own software house, and later for Telecom with Marconi. Joining Marconi in January 1994, Rebecca managed products in Billing and Intelligent Networks. Since 2000 Rebecca has focussed on NGN applications and SIP products. She is now responsible for the Marconi IMS Intelligence evolution, defining the architecture, product migration, new services and integration with 3rd party products.
Antonino D'Angelo, CTO, Italtel
Antonino D’Angelo was born in Milan in 1947 and educated in the USA, having earned both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering at Brooklyn Polytechnic. He began his career in the USA with Bell Laboratories and AT&T before joining Italtel in 1975, where he has held increasingly senior posts (Head of Product Planning, Head of Sales and Marketing, Head Switching BU, and Chief Operating Officer). Alan Duric, CTO, Telio

Werner Eriksen, VP, Engineering, Telio

Hans Eriksson, CTO, Xtrafone
Hans Eriksson is currently CTO at Xtrafone AB, a Swedish consumer VoIP Service Provider. Hans' history with VoIP started at Telia in 1997 and he quickly became their leading innovator and spokesperson regarding VoIP. He left Telia in 2000 for pulver.com and started Digisip, Sweden's first commercial VoIP operator, in 2002. Matthew has 10 years experience in IP. Avi Fisher, CTO, Surf Communication Solutions

Since 1997, Espen Fjogstad has worked as investor investor/entrepeneur, working with a range of technology companies, some of which he co-founded. Magnus Furustam is head of the Ericsson IMS program. His responsibilities cover both the wireline and the mobile engagement within IMS, as well as the Ericsson mobile platform parts. Within the program Mr. Furustam manages both the R&D parts and the strategic product management aspects. He has more than 15 years of experience in the industry and has been working with IMS for the last five years. Dmitry Goroshevsky, CEO & Founder, Popular Telephony
Dmitry Goroshevsky is an Internet Telephony pioneer with over a decade of expertise in IP telephony, and founder of Popular Telephony. Mr. Goroshevsky was CEO of Internet Telecom, an early IP telephony core technology development company spearheading development of advanced IP telephony systems for broadband cable and PBX markets. He guided Internet Telecom through its sale in 2000 to Terayon Communications Systems. Mr. Goroshevsky was influenced by the expansion of the Internet in the '90s and became one of the first to develop the potential of VoIP. In 1995, he co-founded and managed DeltaThree, the first global VoIP service provider.

Eckhart Gouras, Managing Director, KEGO Consulting
Eckhart Gouras has been involved in the IP communications industry since 1996, first as one of the founders of Germany’s first Internet telephony service provider, POPTEL Telecommunications. Following POPTEL’s trade sale in 1999, Eckhart joined OCEN Communications in L.A. as head of business development. In 2001 Eckhart returned to Berlin, Germany, to set up his own consultancy in the field of broadband communications and services. He is currently involved in the launch of a new broadband voice venture in Germany. Prior to his work in the IP communications industry Eckhart worked as a lawyer for the international law firm Coudert Brothers. He is a graduate of NY’s Columbia University and a member of the New York State Bar since 1988.

Andrew is responsible for leading the technology innovations in the messaging security field at BorderWare. Prior, he was the V.P. After qualifying as a solicitor in 1994, Louise joined the UK subsidiary of ACC Corp., a provider of long distance telecommunications services, where she became Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs. In 1998 she joined Viatel, where she was Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs. After a spell at Telco Global Communications (a UK service provider), Louise now advises Viatel on regulatory compliance and policy across Europe and in the United States.

Ernst Langmantel has over 20 years of experience in electronic communications. Since 1998 he has served as director of the technical division at Rundfunk und Telekom Regulierungs (RTR), the Austrian Regulator for Broadcasting and Telecommunications . In his study of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Vienna, Mr. Langmantel specialized in Communications Technology. During his 15 years in the development department at Siemens Vienna, he was engaged in various areas in different responsibilities both in the public and private sector, including fixed and mobile communications systems and networks. A 15-year veteran in the fields of network IT systems for IP, wireless and landline, Alon Lelcuk is a renowned expert on OSS and security. He serves as an active consultant to the Israel Defense Forces on issues regarding network and computer security. Before co-founding Personeta, Mr. Lelcuk worked as a senior consultant specializing in OSS system engineering and security infrastructures. He was involved, as a system engineer and architect, in the definition and deployment of some of Israel's major network management infrastructures. Franz Seiser, Head of CN Evolution, T-Mobile International
Franz Seiser's first contact with VoIP was as SW developer for a PBX in 1998. Involved in development of SW for a VoIP-switchboard of a PBX. He moved to US, Silicon Valley, in 1999, and worked at a start-up company (bought by a major telecoms-vendor) on a VoIP based PBX. Mr. Seiser joined mobile communications industry in mid-2000 (max. mobil in Austria, renamed to T-Mobile Austria later). Involved in preparations for 3G (license auction, vendor selection, contract negotiations). Moved to T-Mobile International (Austria) end of 2002. Working on core-network related mid- to long term issues, also involved in standardisation (3GPP). IP and VoIP currently one of the major topics for core network evolution.
Martin Silman, Director, Global Offer Management, AT&T
Martin Silman manages the development and deployment of AT&T's products and services outside of the US. His responsibilities range from individual private lines to the application hosting capabilities in the AT&T Internet Data Centres around the world. Prior to joining AT&T Martin managed the European network product team for IBM. He graduated in Computer Science from Portsmouth University, UK and has been active in the industry for 20 years.
Bill Simmelink, GM, VoIP Business, Texas Instruments
Bill Simmelink has been the General Manager of Texas Instruments' VoIP business unit since 1999. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Business Development for Telogy Networks, which was acquired by TI in 1999. He previously served as Vice President, Sales, since joining Telogy in 1993. Mr. Simmelink worked for 12 years at Hughes Network Systems, ultimately serving as Assistant Vice President with responsibility for sales in the Asia-Pacific region, and business management in the International Business Satellite Group. He was also manager of pre-sales technical support at AT&T. Mr. Simmelink received a bachelor’s degree of science in mathematics from Purdue University.

Dr. Sinnreich has been at MCI Communications since 1981 where he has held various engineering and executive positions working on lightwave systems, digital crossconnects, lab testing and vendor product evaluation/integration and in telephony switch systems engineering. Dr. Sinnreich has worked on Internet and web services since 1993 and has initiated multimedia and voice projects based on standards developed in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), where he is an active contributor, having authored several IETF drafts.
Karl Stahl, CEO and President, Intertex Data
Karl Erik Ståhl has a M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering. He started his career in the audio business developing loudspeakers and amplifiers for Audio Pro, a company that licensed his patented ACE-bass technology for low frequency loudspeakers. In 1982, Karl Ståhl founded Intertex Data AB, a Swedish company with a 20 year background in the telecommunication and security business. Intertex develops end user equipment with unique functions and features, by combining real-time programming with analogue and digital hardware design skills. Karl Ståhl is also a founder and the Chairman of Ingate Systems Inc. He holds several patents in the audio, electrical, security and communication fields. Intertex and its products have won numerous awards over the years, including Challenger of the year 1995, IT company of the year 1996, Elektronikpriset 1997, Guldmusen 1998, World of ADSL Golden Award 2003, Internet Telephony Product of the Year 2002, 2003, 2004 and the European IST prize.
Richard Stastny, Senior Analyst, OeFEG
Richard has over 25 years of experience in computing, switching, signalling, numbering and networking. He was involved in the adaption of digital switching systems (DMS-100 and EWSD) for the Austrian market and also in the introduction of OAM and billing systems within Telekom Austria. He is participating actively in various international standard bodies, e.g. ETSI SMG, TMN, SPAN and TIPHON, VISIONng, ITU-T SG2 and IETF. In the last years he was responsible in OeFEG for the convergence of NGN networks, the migration to IP based networks, VoIP and ENUM. In this role he was involved in the latest developments in ITU-T regarding the 878 country code for UPT and the recent ENUM related recommendations.

Dr. Sterman is the CEO and founder of Kayote Networks, providing VoIP interconnectivity services with a focus on interoperability, security, and routing (including ENUM, QLCR, and QoS enhancement). Kayote's expertise is in operating real-world implementations of advanced VoIP technology. Previously, Baruch worked at deltathree as CTO with the responsibility for the design and implementation of their real-time billing system, and SIP network. Earlier, he worked at AT&T's Bell Labs, in the Satellite Communications division. Dr. Sterman holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a Doctorate in Physics from Hebrew University.

Alain Sultan, Consultant, ETSI TISPAN
The earlier part of Alain Sultan's career was spent in France Telecom R&D Center in Paris, where he worked during four years on the early stage of the definition of third-generation mobile systems (3G) both at ETSI and at ITU. Six years ago, Mr. Sultan joined ETSI, working with the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). He took an active part in the definition of the UMTS network architecture, from the creation of UMTS up to the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). He is now in the process of introducing a similar mechanism for the fixed access to IMS (xDSL access to IMS); he has recently joined the ETSI's TISPAN NGN (Next Generation Network) project on a half-time basis, the other half being still dedicated to UMTS.
