WMP includes also a Palm OS clients for i705, Treo and Tungsten and Pocket PC. WMP server, J2ME and BREW phone clients are compliant with OMA/Wireless Village protocol. WMP is interoperable with Lotus Sametime, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft LCS, SIP/SIMPLE, Jabber. Webmessenger's business model is based on ASP/Hosting for the consumer market and licensing/OEM of its WMP server and gateways to enterprise customers.
Dave Hills, Marketing Director, Alcatel
Dave Hills is Director, Convergence Market Positioning in Alcatel's CMO’s Office. In this role, Dave is responsible the development of business centric marketing strategies which help raise Alcatel’s visibility as a market leader with customers and market influencers. Working with lead customers to scope new opportunities and Alcatel's business divisions, Dave helps position Alcatel as a market leader in the area of convergence through an outside in customer and user centric approach. Dave is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), a Chartered Engineer, and member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (MIEE); he holds an honors degree in electronic engineering.
Johan Liseborn, CTO and Co-Founder, Hotsip
Johan Liseborn, Hotsip CTO and Co-Founder, has a background from Ericsson, working with telephony and support systems, as well as methods for software development and engineering for five years. He then worked at Ellemtel for two years, focusing on Internet-based services, in the area of intelligent agent systems and applications for multimedia communication. Mr. Liseborn has some 10 patents related to Internet/Telecom filed and has studied Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Linköping, Sweden.
Andy Pearson, Director, Product Strategy, Oz Communications
With over 14 years experience in the IT & Telco industry sector, Andy Pearson has established himself as a key industry spokesperson on messaging. As Director of Product Strategy for OZ, Andy is at the forefront of driving usage and acceptance of new forms of mobile messaging.
Before joining OZ, Andy worked for Magic4 and then Openwave. Prior to this Andy held a number of posts including running the Official Liverpool FC website and at Liverpool John Moores University. His work at multimedia development company “Amaze”, gained him a British Interactive Multimedia Award. Andy holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Philosophy degree from Liverpool University.
Olaf Zaencker, Head of Center of Competence Application Design, Siemens
Olaf Zäncker joined Siemens in 1992. He holds a Diploma in Information Technology (TU) and is in charge of customer specific developments in the area of innovative communication technology (VoIP, presence based systems, etc.). His technological and intercultural skills are based on several international projects and a one-year assignment as VoIP Product Manager in Santa Clara, CA (Silicon Valley). Besides developing new algorithms for the analysis of voice (real VoIP calls) in IP networks including an appropriate tool, the current investigation and development activities of his Center of Competence are focused on topics like "Validation of virtual presence information" and "Prototyping context-sensitive presence-based solutions."
