The ability to deliver voice-like email has excited many companies, but brought up many concerns. The big concerns principally are denial of service attacks and Voice Spam. This panel surveys the solutions being proposed and the current best practices for services.

Andrew Graydon, VP, Technology, BorderWare Technologies
Andrew is responsible for leading the technology innovations in the messaging security field at BorderWare. Prior, he was the V.P. Customer Engineering at Wysdom, a privately-held company which pioneered the Software Delivery Platform for wireless devices, allowing wireless telcos to the secure delivery of functionality to external developers. In his previous position as Director, Development with Origins Software Company, he architected and led the development team for ActiveBlueprints, a fourth generation development environment for generating N-tiered application code for mobile. Andrew holds a B.Sc. (Hons) from Dublin City University, Ireland, in Applied Physics with specializations in Computational and Mathematical Physics.

Micaela Giuhat, AVP, Global Alliances, Netrake
Micaela Giuhat, Assistant Vice President of Global Alliances, Netrake Corporation, is responsible for developing strategic planning and development and partnerships for Netrake’s nCite Session Controller systems. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience designing and developing technology for voice and data networks in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Netrake, Ms. Giuhat held product management positions at Santera Systems, IEX Corporation and Newbridge Networks where she was responsible for creating and launching ATM, IP, Class 4/5, and frame relay technologies. Other experiences include system-engineering positions at Bell Northern Research (Nortel), TELRAD, BEZEK and Telecommunications Networks Enterprise.

Ejovi Nuwere, CTO, SecurityLab Technologies
For government agencies, corporations and other clients requiring expert assistance with digital threat management Ejovi Nuwere brings a wealth of experience. For more then 9 years, he has earned a reputation for providing skilled and practical guidance as a computer security consultant and authority on the hacker threat. Prior to founding SecurityLab Technologies Nuwere gained media attention and international recognition for his highly publicized security audit of Japan’s National ID system--JukiNet. Nuwere is the Chief Technology Officer of SecurityLab Technologies where he heads the companies VoIP security auditing group. He currently lives in Boston and is working on his second book, Practical Penetration Testing (O’Reilly).

Johan Terve, VP, Marketing & Sales, Ingate Systems
Johan Terve, an IT industry veteran, is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ingate Systems. He manages all sales activities in Europe, and oversees all marketing and public relations activities for Ingate worldwide. Terve has a strong mix of business leadership and marketing experience and has, before joining Ingate, worked for distributing companies as well as manufacturing companies.

Ari Takanen, CEO, Codenomicon Ltd.
Ari Takanen, founder and CEO of Codenomicon has for years already been studying information security issues in next generation networks and security critical environments. The work of Codenomicon and University of Oulu aims at ensuring that new technologies are accepted by the general public by providing means of measuring and ensuring quality in networked software. Ari Takanen is one of the people behind the PROTOS research that studied information security and reliability errors in e.g. SIP implementations.
