Jonathan Askin, General Counsel, pulver.com

Jonathan Askin is General Counsel/Wartime Consiglieri to pulver.com, which controls approximately 20 operating companies touching various aspects of IP-based communications. Before joining pulver.com, Jonathan was President and General Counsel to ALTS, the leading national trade association representing facilities-based CLECs. Jonathan was a senior attorney in the FCC’s Common Carrier Bureau before joining ALTS. Prior to the FCC, he was a New Jersey Deputy Public Advocate, where he represented the public on telecommunications and cable issues. Jonathan also practiced law with the New York offices of Davis, Polk. Jonathan is an honors graduate of both Harvard College and Rutgers Law School, and clerked for the late Chief Justice Robert Wilentz of the New Jersey Supreme Court.



Marilyn Cade, Chief Executive Officer, mCADE LLC

Marilyn Cade is an independent consultant in issues related to VoIP, Internet Governance and NGN, following a distinguished career with AT&T. While at AT&T, Marilyn directed policy issues involving the Internet, including Broadband, VoIP, cyber-security; SPAM, security of networks, privacy online, private sector leadership in technical management of Internet (ICANN). Today, she represents industry in domestic industry forums, and in international forums, including the OECD, ITU, CITEL, ICANN, WIPO and most recently, at the WSIS addressing VoIP, NGN, Internet Governance, and private sector leadership of the Internet (ICANN). She speaks frequently in international forums on the importance of private sector leadership.



Julie Hedlund, Managing Director, Hedlund Global Consulting

As Managing Director of Hedlund Global Consulting, Ms. Hedlund obtains government advocacy for trade, regulatory, and market access; advises industry and government officials on regulatory policy; and develops strategies to minimize regulations for existing and emerging technologies. From 2001 to December 2004 Ms. Hedlund was Director of International Policy for Nortel Networks, supporting marketing and financial goals through relationships with key policymakers worldwide. Previously, Ms. Hedlund was the Nortel Director of Telecoms Policy, lobbying Administration and Congressional staff on issues such as broadband legislation. Ms. Hedlund Chairs the Washington Export Council. She has an M.A. Degree in from Georgetown University and has produced curriculum and presentations on international trade and regulatory policy.
