Pete Bonee is President and CEO of Sylantro Systems Corporation, with more than 23 years of leadership experience in emerging communications technologies and markets. Prior to Sylantro, he was VP of Product Operations at Latitude, an innovator in enterprise conferencing. As one of Latitude's early executives, he was responsible for product development, manufacturing operations, customer support, international product approvals, distributor channel support, and patent development. Previously, Pete was VP of Engineering at VMX, where he led the development of worldwide messaging platforms OEM channels. Prior to VMX, he held engineering and technical management positions at ROLM Corporation.
Steve Bakke, Director, Product Management, Tekelec
Mr. Bakke is VocalData's founder and technical visionary as its Chief Technology Officer. Prior to VocalData, Mr. Bakke founded and was CEO of CrossTies Software. Previous to CrossTies, Mr. Bakke founded and was CEO of Omation, Inc., the developer of the first low-cost schematic drawing application for the PC. Previous to Omation, Mr. Bakke was involved in PBX development at several technology companies. Mr. Bakke has an MS from the University of Texas at Dallas and a BS degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Jay Batson, Chairman, SIP Forum
Jay Batson is the chairman of the board of directors of the SIP Forum.
In this role, he is leading the Forum in an effort to increase its activity level and value to the SIP industry.
Prior to this role, Jay was co-founder of Pingtel Corp., the first commercial product vendor to announce support the SIP protocol for use in all its products in 1997. Under Jay's guidance, Pingtel became the industry standard as a vendor of intelligent, Java-enabled SIP phones for enterprise installations. Following this, he led the company into building one of the leading SIP-based enterprise IP PBX systems on the market today. Jay's background includes early engineering work in large-scale computing and IP networking at BBN, one of the key firms behind building the Internet. Jay was also a well-known networking industry analyst at Forrester Research. Drawing on his BBN experience, Jay was the first industry analyst to examine and predict the explosion of the Internet. He also provided early and important strategic analysis on the internetworking industry, including being the first to predict its consolidation at a time when the industry was growing phenomenally. Jay has also held executive, business development and product management roles at Cayman Systems and ON Technology. He has a J.D. from the University of Denver.
Bertrand Pourcelot, Operations Director, Centile
Bertrand Pourcelot as Operations Director of Centile is in charge of product and roadmap definition, product development management and technology partnerships. Before joining Centile in early 2001, first as head of system qualification then as head of customer service, Bertrand lead various high tech software development projects within mission critical environments at Alcatel, first as technical manager then as project manager. Prior to this, Bertrand was closely involved in system design and software development for over five years with EADS France. Bertrand graduated in Computer Science Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris, one of the top five French engineering schools.
Paul Sijben, Principal, Eem Valley Technology
Paul Sijben has been active in streamed media for over a decade. He did research on multimedia operating systems at the University of Twente, worked for Bell-Labs on VoIP and multimedia service architectures and has been CTO of PicoPoint a WiFi service provider and aggregator. Today Paul Sijben heads EemValley Technology, a startup aimed at delivering technology and business insights. His mission: to make the Next Generation Network with masses of secure services and true broadband a reality.
