Alan Bugos, Vice President, Engineering, iBasis

Alan R. Bugos, Vice President of Engineering, iBasis, is responsible for overseeing the engineering design, testing/evaluation, systems integration, and global deployment of iBasis' International Internet telephony network, including interoperability, enhanced VoIP services and applications. Mr. Bugos has more than 14 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications, optical networking, data networking, and communications systems integration and has been involved in VoIP R&D and deployments since 1998. He was the recipient of GTE's highest technical merit award, the Warner Award for Technical Achievement in pioneering DSL data networks in 1997. He has published over 45 technical publications and received BS and MS Engineering degrees from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.



Simon Gwatkin, VP, Strategic Marketing, Mitel Networks

With more than two decades of marketing and strategic experience in technology, Simon Gwatkin is responsible for communicating and evolving Mitel’s corporate positioning and brand equity in the global marketplace. Appointed Vice President of Strategic Marketing in 2003, Gwatkin has raised Mitel’s international presence with key stakeholders and publics through dedicated and ambitious initiatives in marketing and media, analyst, and investor relations. He is a progressive proponent of IP Telephony and actively speaks at a wide variety of industry-related events. His extensive speaking schedule and insight into market dynamics and unfolding trends in user adoption have contributed to the emerging shift towards the mass adoption of IP Telephony.


Gregory Keough, CEO and Chairman, DigiLinea

Greg Keough has been recognized as a VoIP pioneer in Latin America founding DigiLinea the leading VoIP Service Provider to the Latin American and US Hispanic markets. DigiLinea serves thousands of clients and is part of the Pulver 100 and Internet Telephony’s VoIP Provider of the Year. Over the past 15 years Greg has built and sold several technology companies and raised over $60M in venture capital. Greg has been awarded: E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, Washington's Top Technology and International Leaders, and many others. Other companies founded by Greg include AperServ Technologies, Zona Financiera, and Virtual Loan Corp.


Stig Skaugvoll, Senior Vice President & Partner, GoIP

As a truly Pioneer within the VoIP Sphere Mr. Skaugvoll has been a driver in  commercializing VoIP over the last +5 years. As Vice President at Primus Telecommunications he was driving the Global Roll-out of  Primus' H323 based Carrier grade overlay network, later on commercializing PC-Phone offerings via MSN and other WhiteLabel  solutions. His experience in the VoIP space started even before SIP was born and is very familiar with all the opportunities and  challenges of offering VoIP services both in the Business environment and as online services, I.e. Vonage,  Lingo(www.lingo.com), MSN, GoogleTalk, Skype, etc. He has successfully been a key driver in rolling out a Global Next Generation VoIP offering based on PrivateLabel mode.
