If IP Centrex is so hot, when should we expect the major carriers to utilize them? So many of the features associated with traditional Centrex are proprietary, what should we expect from IP Centrex, and can we require it?



Ahal Besorai, President & CEO, Inclarity

Dan Hoffman, CEO, M5 Networks

As President and CEO of M5, Dan plans to redefine the phone system market by replacing the traditional phone system and phone company arrangement with an outsourced solution that businesses can truly trust. Dan joined M5 in early 2001 with over 11 years of experience managing service providers. Prior to M5, Dan co-founded Global Internet Group where he served as President before selling the company to Asia Online. As Executive Vice President of Operations, Dan grew Asia Online to a major pan-Asian Internet services firm with over 1000 employees. Dan graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a Masters of International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.



Matt Noah, CEO, NetSuds.com

Matt Noah has been CEO of NetSuds since 2000 after leaving ADC in Minnetonka, Minnesota where he worked in Business Development and the Office of Technology. Prior to ADC, Matt held engineering positions at Telogy Networks, ACT Networks, AT&T Bell Labs, ITT and Rockwell. He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University and a MS degree in EE from Stanford University where he graduated in 1981.



Ken Shulman, CTO & EVP, Wholesale Service, Broadview Networks

Ken Shulman joined Broadview Networks in 1999 as chief technology officer. In this role, he is responsible for the architecture, technology, standards and evolution plans for the company's integrated communications networks and services. Shulman has 28 years of leadership experience in communications technology. He previously served as vice president of local network technology for AT&T, a position he assumed when AT&T acquired Teleport Communications Group (TCG) in 1998. From 1987 to 1998, Shulman held officer positions with TCG, including senior vice president and chief technology officer. Earlier, he was director of systems engineering for MCI International. Before that, Shulman specialized in network planning with Bellcore and Bell Laboratories.



Pete Sandrev, President, Hosted Telephony Service Operations, Broadvox

With over twenty years of experience in developing and deploying digital communications solutions, Mr. Sandrev is responsible for developing, deploying and supporting Hosted PBX and IP Centrex services into the Broadvox network. Mr. Sandrev has held several senior leadership roles in general management, operations, and strategy. Previously, Mr. Sandrev co-founded and served as VP of Operations at Communication Solutions, Inc., a Midwest Regional CPE Service Provider of Voice and Data Services, as Vice President, Mr. Sandrev was instrumental in the sale of CSI to PC Importers in 1996, where he continued as Executive Vice President of the unit until its subsequent sale in 1998.



Sam Shiffman, Executive Vice President, PointOne

As Executive Vice President, Mr. Shiffman is Chief Architect and is responsible for managing the design and deployment of the PointOne network. In addition, Mr. Shiffman serves in an instrumental role for developing new product initiatives as well as establishing strategic partnerships. He chairs PointOne's patent committee and is responsible for several patents pending in IP network design. He also served on the Customer Advisory Board of Alcatel, North America. During the late 90's Shiffman also helped design and build one of the first Ethernet based Optical IP networks that provided broadband services to businesses and off-campus students in dormitories and apartments.
