David Howard, Product Line Manager, Wireline Products, UTStarcom

As the manager of wireline solutions, David Howard oversees the marketing and development of all wireline access products at UTStarcom, including the multi-service access node, DSLAM, VoIP gateway, and broadband RAS solutions. Before joining the UTStarcom team in September 2002, Mr. Howard led product management for Phaethon Communications, Inc., a fiber optics start-up company founded to tackle the problems of chromatic and polarization mode dispersion in optical networks.

Mr. Howard has more than 15 years of industry expertise in telephony, data networking, voice and data access, and fiber optic transmission with companies such as Phaethon Communications, Inc., Alcatel, Assured Access Technologies, Ascend Communications, Bell Canada, and Environment Canada.



Mark Nietubyc, Global Customer Marketing, Siemens

Mark Nietubyc has nearly 18 years in industry with the last 10 in telecommunications. Prior to joining Siemens in 2004, Mark was an original member of the marketing team for Dallas start-up, Xtera Communications, where he worked to develop and refine all initial product, marketing, and customer engagement strategies. He previously held senior level positions in both marketing and system design at Alcatel USA and DSC Communications covering from the customer premise to the core, in both the electrical and optical domains.

Mark holds five patents and written numerous articles for publication and inclusion into university level text.



Teresa Sperry, Sr. Product Manager, Paradyne

Teresa Sperry is a Sr. Product Manager for DSL Products at Paradyne Corporation. She has 8 years experience in the telecommunications industry, beginning with Paradyne in 1996. Her career began as an engineer developing embedded systems for Lockheed Martin Corporation. <>In 2000, Teresa transitioned from research and development within Paradyne to Strategic Product Planning. In this role she was responsible for setting long term product direction for Paradyne’s DSL Product Family.
Teresa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida and also holds a patent related to integrating packet handling logic in DSL Modems.



Philip Thompson, Executive VP, Product Management, mPhase

Philip Thompson led the creation of multiple new businesses within Lucent Technologies and AT&T over his 25 year career at Bell Laboratories.

Product developments have included PBXs, telephones, voice messaging, network software, CTI, VoIP systems, Video/IP systems and IADs for the enterprise consumer and service provide markets. Phil's products have won a variety of industry awards for innovation and excellence.

Prior to joining MPhase in 2003, Mr. Thompson was responsible for technical marketing, strategy and new business development for custom development services leveraging Bell Laboratories intellectual property.
