He’s persuading Wall Street that the biggest pipe has the best future possibilities. Time to stop talking about the "Home of the Future" – products are being delivered today. Ask anyone with a Tivo whether they’d give it up and how anxious they are for the next generation.
Brian Hinman, President & CEO, 2Wire
Co-founder, president and CEO, Brian L. Hinman leads 2Wire, Inc. the largest provider of broadband service platforms. Hinman was also co-founder, and former CEO, of Polycom, the leading teleconferencing company in the world. Hinman was the co-founder of PictureTel Corporation at the age of 22, and was Vice President of Engineering and a Director from 1984-1990.
Hinman is an industry expert in digital signal processing, holds eleven U.S. patents, and has been honored as one of the nation's most successful young entrepreneurs by A.C.E three different times. He has served on the national board of the American Electronic Association, and was co-founder and director of the International Multimedia Teleconferencing Consortium.
Gary Hoffman, Business Development, Coaxsys
Gary Hoffman has worked with I/O, networking, computing, and semiconductor technology, standards, and businesses for over 20 years.
Gary was Founder of the 1394 Trade Association (Firewire) and drove adoption of IEEE 1394 for digital television and consumer applications. In IBM Gary was a member of Research Staff specializing in high-performance RISC processor and systems design that became the RS/6000 and PowerPC processors. Gary has been a founder and executive of several startups since leaving IBM.
Gary is currently VP of Business Development at Coaxsys, Inc., responsible for industry strategy and relationships. Coaxsys TVnet products enable operators to provide voice, data, and video services throughout the home. TVnet transforms in-home TV coaxial cable into a high performance multimedia network.
Anton Wahlman, Vice President, Needham & Company
Anton Wahlman is Vice President of Needham & Co., a privately-held investment bank focused primarily on the technology industries. Previously Mr. Wahlman was with UBS, most recently as Associate Director of Equity Research. In 2001, the annual StarMine analyst survey determined Mr. Wahlman to be the #1 analyst on Wall Street in stock recommendations for communications technology companies. Mr. Wahlman covers more companies in broadband access technology than any other Sell-Side Analyst on Wall Street in recent years. He served in the Swedish army in 1989 and was a 1991 Parliamentary candidate for the Libertarian Party in Sweden. Mr. Wahlman has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and pursued his graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
