Small, low-cost indoor base stations, often referred to as picocells and femtocells, present the opportunity for wireless carriers to make a radical departure from their traditional cellular network architectures. The prospect of substantial cost savings and new service opportunities from this change is generating intense interest in the industry. Jason Kowal, US Head of Research, Analysys

Jason is responsible for Analysys Research operations in North America, including coverage of consumer, business, and wholesale communications markets. Analysys Research is part of the Analysys Mason Group, the largest telecoms-focused consultancy in the world. Prior to joining Analysys, Jason was President of TeleGeography, an international telecommunications market research firm based in Washington, DC.
