Our Client is an exciting recently-funded startup in the Internet telephony & VoIP services space. With industry leaders as founders, and a dynamic and growing team, this is a great opportunity to join an early-stage company with a bright future.
Candidate will work as a member of the Development team, designing and developing next generation VoIP services. The candidate must have strong knowledge of new and existing telephony protocols and their internetworking. The candidate must have a forward-looking attitude with vision to develop new, innovative services with evolving protocols.
Minimum Required Skills:
Must be able to work in an extremely fast-paced and dynamic environment. Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task. BA degree in Computer Science or related field with 2 years of experience or at least 5 years of demonstrated experience.
Demonstrated expertise with SIP
- Experience with various new and existing Telephony protocols like ENUM, TLS, TRIP, SS7, is highly desirable
- Development experience on a Linux / Unix platform
- Demonstrated knowledge with C and Perl programming languages
- Experience with network programming (TCP/UDP)
- Good understanding of telecommunications systems and protocols
Demonstrated knowledge with the following software:
Asterisk PBX; SIP Express Router or other SIP Proxy Server or IP PBX system
MySQL or Postgres Database
BIND Name Server
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Clear understanding of complete development life cycle from design through implementation
- Demonstrated ability to write clean code with excellent documentation - a sample will be required
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
