Responsibilities:
- VoIP soft switch analysis, architecture assessment, scalability, and reliability analysis
- Subject matter expert on MGCP, SIP, and VoIP transport protocols
- Evaluation of softswitch and media gateway platforms based on ability to meet service and scalability requirements
- Development of lab integration test cases and requirements for platform evaluation
- Development of engineering guidelines and methods for deployment of VoIP switching infrastructure in a service provider network
- Development of overall end-to-end service architecture
Technical Skills Required:
Extensive knowledge of VoIP softswitch architectures, media gateway capabilities, and IP protocols supporting real time switched services (H.323, MGCP, SIP, etc.)
Experience Required:
B.S. degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience in a technical position focused on data networking or Voice over IP in a service provider or equipment manufacturer environment.
