Over 200+ participants from all the corners, nooks, and crannies of the IP Communications spectrum attended the Summit, a dramatic increase from the number who joined in on the first Peripheral Visionaries event held just six months ago. And what a day it was, beginning near sun-up on Thursday and running until pretty much the same time the following morning (if you include – and you must – the Peripheral Visionaries’ Party, as well as the informal after-hours discussion and activity that stretched far into the night). Of course, the Summit benefited greatly in its timing, following so closely on the heels of the IP and Broadband hearings by the House Subcommittee on Telecommunications.
This second Peripheral Visionaries’ Summit extended and greatly amplified the buzz that began in May with pulvermedia’s first such event, and many in attendance left feeling that this unique event could (and should) snowball into something truly essential to the myriad of players in IP-based communications. In fact, a truly amazing collection of big thinkers came together for this Summit, from those in the technological and business camps to those drafting and enacting policy and regulation, and all indications are that this roster of IP Communications movers-and-shakers will only grow with each ensuing Peripheral Visionaries’ event.
We at pulvermedia look forward to building on the momentum of the first two Peripheral Visionaries’ Summits, and to doing what we can to assure that the event opens doors for all of those who are working to push the limits of IP technology, the Internet and communications.
