Last night's party was held in New York City at SoHo's Puck building. The Puck building was the site of pulver.com's first conference, held in September 1996, which drew 225 participants. 3000 people participated in the organization's most recent VON (Voice on the Net) conference, which was held in September in Atlanta. In general, attendance at VON directly mirrors activity and interest in IP Telephony and can be used as a reliable gauge of the industry's growth. "The Internet Telephony industry has exploded this year, as evidenced by several stellar IPO's, and it just seemed like now was a good time look back and see how far we've come." said Jeff Pulver, CEO, pulver.com
