Building the VoIP Central Office
The concept of a central office in some ways no longer applies, since customers can be independent of any location. But the elements that were in a central office still apply when it comes to call control, managing the traffic between VoIP and the PSTN, managing the media on a VoIP network, and enabling features with application servers.
