What's a Peripheral Visionary? Someone who can see into the future … but only way off to the side. This panel of communications futurists predict what’s on the near and distant horizon in communications. What are the likely communications devices of 2005, the killer apps of 2010, the service providers of 2015? Who has the 20-20 vision to predict what communications will look like in 2020?



Dmitry Goroshevsky, CEO, Founder, Popular Telephony

Dmitry Goroshevsky, is an Internet Telephony pioneer with over a decade of expertise in IP telephony and founder of Popular Telephony.
Goroshevsky was CEO of Internet Telecom, an early IP telephony core technology development company spearheading development of advanced IP telephony systems for broadband cable and PBX markets. He guided Internet Telecom through its sale in 2000 to Terayon Communications Systems.
Goroshevsky was influenced by the expansion of the Internet in the 90s and becoming one of the first to develop the potential of VoIP. In 1995, he co-founded and managed DeltaThree, the first global VoIP service provider.
Goroshevsky's vision and business insight have culminated in inventing the serverless telephony concept, Peerio.



Timothy Jasionowski, CTO, Streamdoor

Timothy Jasionowski is Chief Technology Officer of Streamdoor, a United Kingdom-based company specializing in wholesale deployment of IP Communications services. He has overall responsibility for defining and building Streamdoor's services architecture, technology roadmap and relationships with technology partners, as well as oversees product and service management.

Prior to joining Streamdoor, Jasionowski managed a consulting practice concentrating on the development of new telecommunication and Internet services. He was also Director of Product Incubation and Strategy at Qwest Communications, managing the initial product and deployment strategies for VoIP and other new services, as well as Senior Manager of America Online Programs.



Opher Kahane, Co Founder and CEO, Kagoor Networks

Opher Kahane, co-founder and chief executive officer of Kagoor Networks, is a true industry leader in voice over IP with more than 14 years of direct industry experience. Kahane was an early developer in the voice over IP industry as the author of multiple patents, a key contributor to the H.323 standard and a founding member of the VoIP Forum. Before co-founding Kagoor in early 2000, Kahane served as vice president, strategic planning and global alliances at VocalTec Communications, where he was responsible for establishing key partnerships with industry leaders including, Cisco Systems. Kahane holds a B.S. with honors, in Computer Science & Mathematics, from Tel Aviv University.



Chuck Rutledge, VP of Marketing, Quintum Technologies

Chuck joined Quintum five years ago and has led all marketing and business development activities from its first product launch to the present. The company is now one of the leading providers of VoIP equipment worldwide and has become the 3rd fastest growing company on the Deloitte and Touche New Jersey Technology Fast 50. Prior to Quintum, he was Vice President of Wholesale Marketing at Vialog, where he established programs for distributing conferencing and collaboration services through agent channels, and as a wholesale offering. As Director of Marketing at Madge Networks, he established a new business unit to market video networking and ISDN equipment to carriers. As Business Development Director at AT&T, he worked with telephone, cable and power companies to establish relationships for the deployment and marketing of a variety of communications services. While at AT&T Chuck worked on the Time Warner Entertainment Joint Venture team and managed the AT&T/Viacom Interactive Television trial. He started his career in Bell Laboratories as a researcher and holds multiple patents. Chuck is a board member for the Technology Management Education Association. He has a BS in Electronic Engineering, a MBA.



Brough Turner, SVP & CTO, NMS Communications

Brough Turner is SVP, CTO and co-founder of NMS Communications, where he oversees the evolution of NMS's technology and product architectures and works on business strategy and new market development. Mr. Turner has broad business experience, but his principal focus remains on engineering and technology. His current interests include mobile video, multimodal applications, and wireless infrastructure.

Mr. Turner writes and is quoted widely on telecommunications topics in both trade and general business publications and he is a frequent speaker at telecom industry events around the world.
