From call centers to pay phones, voice mail to enterprise deployments, Latin American VoIP is HOT. But the markets in Latin America represent very different requirements than solutions in the US. This panel shows how to capitalize on those differences.

Alan R. Bugos, Vice President of Engineering, iBasis, is responsible for overseeing the engineering design, testing/evaluation, systems integration, and global deployment of iBasis' International Internet telephony network, including interoperability, enhanced VoIP services and applications. Mr. Bugos has more than 14 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications, optical networking, data networking, and communications systems integration and has been involved in VoIP R&D and deployments since 1998. He was the recipient of GTE's highest technical merit award, the Warner Award for Technical Achievement in pioneering DSL data networks in 1997. He has published over 45 technical publications and received BS and MS Engineering degrees from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.

Alfredo Bellagamba joined VoIP Group in early 2002. Previously he worked with Edward Perry at ATG Ventures, the venture capital fund that controls VoIP Group and evaluates Latin American tech projects.

In 1998 Bellagamba was an original partner and co-developed LatinStocks.com, a Latin American financial portal. In August 1999, he sold a controlling stake of LatinStocks to The Exxel Group and a minority stake to AOL Latin America.

In 1994 Mr. Bellagamba co-founded The Financial Group SA. Bellagamba holds an MBA from Argentina's IAE Escuela de Dirección y Negocios and a CPA from Rosario National University.

Jose Colagrossi has more than 15 years of experience building and managing successful global channel sales operations for telecom and IT companies such as FaxNet Corporation, Critical Path, Sonexis and Merlot Communications. A native of Brazil, Mr. Colagrossi began his career working as a trade diplomat, later becoming an International Business Development Consultant specializing in building global distribution channels for hardware companies. Some of his clients included Toshiba, Seagate, Hayes and Motorola. Mr. Colagrossi has spoken at more than 20 technology events including VON Europe, Comdex Mexico, Comdex Brazil, Internet World Brazil, and The Harvard Business Club. He has an MBA from Columbia University and a Bachelors from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Greg Keough has been recognized as a VoIP pioneer in Latin America founding DigiLinea the leading VoIP Service Provider to the Latin American and US Hispanic markets. DigiLinea serves thousands of clients and is part of the Pulver 100 and Internet Telephony’s VoIP Provider of the Year. Over the past 15 years Greg has built and sold several technology companies and raised over $60M in venture capital. Greg has been awarded: E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, Washington's Top Technology and International Leaders, and many others. Other companies founded by Greg include AperServ Technologies, Zona Financiera, and Virtual Loan Corp.
