The pulver Open Test Network will be making another road trip on May 1-2 to SIP Summit in Richardson Texas. Due to space restrictions, the format will be different from Spring 2001 VON at Phoenix. While Phoenix presented all of you the opportunity to work out interoperability issues, the SIP summit will be more geared towards showing off our successes to date.
OTN will have only two tabletops in the exhibit hall. On the tabletop will be a large monitor with all the OTN graphics as well as graphical explanations of the interoperability and functionality that we will be demonstrating. The only gear on the table will be an assortment of end user devices. The infrastructure stuff will all be installed back in the lab at Melville.
For example, the multi-proxy server calls that we attempted at Phoenix (and that was less than 100% successful) will be attempted again at SIP summit. There will be a graphic on the monitor explaining what is happening. Only the IP endpoint will be on the tabletop. The servers and PSTN connections will be back at the lab in Melville.
We will also be demonstrating interoperability with any vendor who may have equipment on the exhibit floor.
As of April 15, the following companies, who are also OTN participants, are scheduled to be at SIP Summit.
dynamicsoft
HearMe
Indigo Software
ipNetfusion
Pingtel
Sunrise Telecom
TGF Linux Communications
Ubiquity Software Corporation
VocalData
Due to the limited number of exhibit hours there will be many fewer tests/demonstrations than at VON. At this event, we will be focusing on Conferencing and Multi-Proxy Call Completion.
Our next Pavilion event will be at VON Europe, June 11-14 in Stockholm, Sweden.
