Keynote: How VoWi-Fi Fits Into Carrier Networks
Tuesday, March 15, 2005, 1:15pm - 1:45pm
With more than 100 million Wi-Fi client devices on the market, Wi-Fi has become the world’s most pervasive broadband radio technology. Therefore, the evolution of Wi-Fi as a medium to carry voice seems a natural process and dual mode phones are already emerging. Bernard Herscovich, President and CEO of Belair Networks will look at why VoWi-Fi is important for service providers and carriers. He will explore the business and technical level challenges and benefits VoWi-Fi presents, and propose how VoWi-Fi can be used as an extension of existing networks.
